Especially when it comes to driving, I used to think I was Mario Andretti, and by some dumb luck I never turned myself into a greasy spot on a country road. Thank God I got my GN when I was 20 and not when I got my first T/A at 17, I would have definitely killed myself. Now that Ive raced (and crashed hard) real race cars, and the fact Ive gotten older, I realize... MAN I was stupid!!

See, that's strange. I owned a GN for 10 years since 1990 starting at a young age (23) and NEVER got harassed by any cops. Then shortly thereafter into a TTA, then a Typhoon and into another GN. Strange thing is, I was NEVER followed, profiled or unnecessarily or illegally stopped by any law enforcement unless I was breaking a law. And that was 4x total in 14 years.

I only got followed once in my GN and that was because I was in a popular street race/cruise site and the cops Im sure knew what I was drving and were waiting for me to do something stupid. Except for once, every time I got pulled over i was doing something stupid. The one time it wasnt was cause i was a young guy with my friends in a Trans Am. The cop said this in not so many words. I had done absolutely nothing wrong (he assumed we were looking to start a fight or a street race, in reality we were picking up girls showed him the wadded up paper with phone numbers we got) and being the smart mouthed 19 yr old i was I then told off the cop (undercover cop in plainclothes) that I basically dont appreciate being treated like a criminal when I did nothing wrong, took my license back, wrote down his badge number and reported him for harassment. I hope hes a metermaid now...

one of the reasons i have my gn is because it is so big. when i was 19 i got hit by a stolen regal ttype that was being chased by the cops...they ran it right through the light and i was driving the car going through the other way...which was my big ass 79 caprice classic 4 door...the regal hit me going about 80 mph right in the passenger side...it spun me around and into a building...the driver of the regal escaped on foot...i had to get 7 stitches and 17 staples in my head...both my rear tires flew off along with my trunk lid that was found impaled in a near by telephone poll...i didnt have enough in me to inspect the cars after the accident prolly b/c of the laseration to my head but both of us survived and the asshole driving the regal even got away...i love these big GM gas guzzlers...i always knew that the thousands of dollars spent on gas would come in handy...
