The car seems to have no power in the top of first gear, when it hits 2nd the thing is gone it pulls like its crazy now. What would make me lose power in first gear but would be fine in the other gears. Do you think that it could be pig rich in first gear then leans out when in 2nd . I will try to check my scan tool and see what my o2's are. I am trying to get to the track sunday but dont need it to die on me in the 60'.

thanks for any help

My car was the same way. It was at the edge of traction through first gear but when it hit second there was no traction. The only thing I ever figured out was it spun a few extra rpm in first gear and my valvesprings have a lot of miles so I ASSumed that to be the problem. You have fairly new springs, right?

yea i put the lt1 springs in last year, now that i found i have a bad coil pack and fixed that under boost first is real nice but if i just step on it in first its kinda dead on the top end of first, but then 2nd pulls very hard.

i dont get it:confused:

Do you have an accurate tach? It might still be an RPM issue in first even if you have new springs.

I run a autometer 5" with shift light, i dont think its spinning it just feels like it loses power.
