Julio- I emailed you but maybe you didn't see it. I pressed the test button and motor didn't bog. Dial was set at 1/2 way. LED came on the dash. Wires checked fine, getting about 5 volts from TPS to MAP, all grounds look good. Then when I turned the dial 3/4 it sprayed. Also, when I turn the dial all the way to the left, up to 1/4 from the left, motor doesn't bog but LED comes on. Any suggestions? I started to get suspicious because I heard knock and knock gauge went into yellow about a week ago. It only happened once, and I didn't notice if the led came on the dash or not. I would ASSume the pump didn't spray, however.

Emailed ya back yesterday..

Check to see if your pump has a white colored gasket between the switch and its housing. The switch is the part that has two red wires coming out of it.

If it doesnt, contact me off list for the fix.

You can always call :)

hmm just put a kit in a customers car and had the same prob. i went to hit the test button and the thing would not spray. i turned the knob up to half way and now it bogs the motor not sure if that is right. the other thing i had was i wired up the low level light and it would not come on with the key on and the tank empty. any ideas razor i called today but not sure you got the voice mail.

Thats correct as to the test button. And also has to do with the setting of the Initial control. So if the Initial is turned too far down, it may not spray at all.

On the low level, ground the Tan wire.. if the LED illuminates, check your ground connection to the black o-ring terminal.. if thats checks ok.. its the float switch inside the tank. If grounding the Tan wire doesnt make it illuminate.. then the problem is the LED whether its missing 12 volts.. wires pulled.. or its just bad. Call me and i'll get you taken care off.

I started doing the repair to the pump. I should discard the switch, and solder the red wires together, right? Also, should I re-use the screws that are pointy that came with the switch (to peirce the white gasket)? The screws that came in the fix it kit are not pointy. I tried calling and left a couple messages. Out of curiosity, do the pumps now come with this "fix" when you sell them? I'd hate to think of these switches failing on a large scale. Thanks.

Any questions on this mod, call me. Sorry no further info is available on a public forum :)
