you guys are lucky we only got 91-92 octane here

I just filled up in Philly yesterday and 94 is alive and well here. $2.08 a gallon ! lol

I heard the state Flunked some type of enviormental clean air test or something really bad,so thats why they had the Sunoco 94 removed. Doesnt make much sense to me:confused:

CT hasn't had 94 since some time last year. I always wonder if those buttons you select octane with at the pump really do anything.:)

It has quietly disappeared from the pumps in WNY as well, was hoping it would come back but It don't look good.Time to try alchy for me.

Sunoco has DONE AWAY with 94 in ANY STATE North of PA!
This is due to the new Smog laws. I just went down and checked with the guys in Marketing! It is currently being evaluated and
MAY go away everywhere in Jan. 2005.

Hey Murt, you'll have to come up to the North Shore. We still have it up here.

brian thats not good news expalice (sp) sence you work for sun lol...... its going to be bad a couple years from now when they wont have anything over freaking 87 lol not liike we are that far away (this is part of the reason i wont to get a desial (sp) truck)

i know here in N.Y. and in CT. they banned an ingredient in the Ultra 94, not sure what it is. thats why they cant sell the 94 anymore. i didnt know Mass. or any other state had the same issue.

Might as well stock up while I can then. Still a couple places that have it. I just got a can full on Saturday

Still lots of places in NJ that sell 94. Seems like 1 out of 3 sells it. I'm in a fairly crowded area in NJ and I could probably find 5 Sunocos within 10 minutes that sell 94.

Even better, some Sunocos and even non-Sunocos sell GT100 Unleaded (or Cam2 GT100 -same thing). Some people have posted where to find the stations, or you can look here:

http://www.racegas.com/gt100locals/

If you choose your state at the bottom, I think the listing is pretty accurate except there are many, many places that sell it that aren't listed. I found a station less than 15 mintues away and I run 100 octane full time now.

Last time I was in SC with the GN at my parents house, a friend told me about a gas station he thought sold higher octane gas. Highest I could find was 92 and I would get knock with the slightly higher timing RA 93 chip unless I used Xylene. Turns out the gas station sold 108 octane leaded race gas from the pump! I promptly puts lots in it and fried my first O2 sensor shortly thereafter. :D
