No Third Problem Solved
I feel like an idiot. I bought this transmission four years ago. I intended to overhaul the tranny but decided to install it anyway so I could move the car around. After I installed I discovered that third gear would not engage. Due to my financial situation at the time I, again, put my T-type on hold believing that I had a major problem.
I had the car towed to my shop and dropped the pan to see if there was any major debris. There wasn't any major debris and it looked very clean. There was, however, no filter.
I installed a filter and test drove.
Everything works fine and has a good solid third and fourth.
I'm going to start getting my car into good shape and look foward to chatting with fellow turbo Buick owners with my progress and hope I can get the help and support I'm sure I'll need from you guys.
