Hey guys . . . I'm using a buddy's login, he said I should come here and ask you guys this question as you more than likely will be able to help out. I apologize in advance if this is not the proper forum, wasn't sure where to post.
I've got a twin-turbo '98 Camaro. I cracked #1 ringland a few months ago, and am rebuilding. My buddy ( who used to own a TTA ) is worried about the #1 injector. I had a very clean spot on the topside of the piston, covering about 25-30%. I mean it was almost WHITE it was so clean, in comparison to the rest of the piston. I was also running alky injection. I honestly think the injector is fine ( they were only a couple of months old ). But I certainly don't want the injector to be an issue on my new setup, can't afford to do this again. What do you think? I wonder if the alky went lean just in that cylinder ( I was injecting just before the TB, so distribution isn't perfect ). My buddy really thinks I need to replace the injector for peace of mind. They are the SVO 42lb greentops, and I'm told I can't buy them in singles. HELP!!!
And I LOVE the GN's . . . my goal is to own one someday!!
