would you trust the factory rope seal or pull it out and install the newer rubber Fel pro?

What is the number for the GM cover Fel Pro seal that installs from the inside??

Yank the rope seal...

The seal that installs on the inside is a National S-12623 or K100674R. Not sure which is the right number, just looked at one of my spare seals.

Knock it out and use the neoprene seal. Unless you want an automatic undercarriage anti-rust oiling system.
