So my starter ain't working....before I tore the car down it was fine except for when I Brock the plastic lid on the solenoid, so I replaced the solenoid and can't get it to crank.....is it just on terminal being used on the starter and is it grounded off the block? I did disconnect my neutral saftey switch on steering column and I can turn the key fully on and off....i can't find any bad fuses, I'm a little stumped and it's been 6 months since it last ran and now after the restoration it's time to fire up for the first time since

Check the cam sensor and the crank sensor check the complete wiring harness make sure you're good nothing disconnected check for spark. Good luck, keep us updated

You can always get a battery box or jump box and test starter on ground or work bench. If start turns over, hook battery back up to car and use volt meter to check voltage with key on.

none of that stuff matters until the starter actually cranks the engine over..
