Guess who still hasn't been resolved? That's right... Mr. Clunk.

I have been going over the car and what I've done to it this Winter (suspension, nitrous, alky etc). But, I may have overlooked one small item...

The driveshaft loop.

I switched them between my SS and the T, because the SS has a 4" shaft and the T only 3"; so the SS needed more room.

This may become one of those "sonofabitch" moments.

Bingo!!!! Good find!!! I'm having the same issues with my UMI style loop and my 3.5" driveshaft! I know there are big ones available becuase I just installed one on a car I'm building for a guy. I dont know the brand though. It's a big large diameter circle and is very heavy duty.

Well that's the end of that (see attached picture).

The interesting thing is that this particular driveshaft loop had never been on this car during any of its iterations. When I installed the TH400 and new driveshaft it came with its own loop. Mixing and matching parts isn't always wise.

Everything happens for a reason... or at least that is what I kept telling myself.

The tank is almost on "E" (I've been stealing its gas for the snowblower all Winter long) but I took the car for a quick drive anyway. The new suspension is much quieter and smoother than what was in there before. It definitely needs the rear sway bar installed as the springs don't have enough rate to manage by themselves (aka. some rubbing).

And it sounds like my driver side front wheel bearing(s) took a crap over the Winter because: Now I've Got A Squeak?!

Those Kirban loops are awfully small. I'll try to find the brand of loop I was talking about. Much much much more room to work with! ----Jeremy

Looks like the loop I was looking for is the Metco loop. Very strong and BIG!!!!;)

Yeah, the Metco loop does a much better job of using all the available real estate in the tunnel. I think I am going throw this Kirban unit in the fire pit and piss on it... or make it into an ashtray for my Mom for Mother's day.

Time to go set the alignment...

Totally missed this...

That's pretty much my philosophy. Just curious as I'd like to see your car some time.

Well I won't be going back to Luskville until they fix the track and roads getting you there. But, I will be planning a trip to Napierville in the Spring.

And, I am sure we can set up a NCR Buick meet sometime.
