Guys, I recently sent my son who is a disable Marine vet over to see Brit in Romona with heads from his diesel truck. We just wanted them surfaced (no issues with the truck them just adding ARP studs) and they would be ready the same day but after Brit inspected them the bill was going to be $1000. The problem here is not the price but the treatment of my son. The many phone conversations that transpired and with each one he got more and more rude. So after a discussion with Jesse, he decided to just pick up the heads but Brit now wants $150 for the cleaning and inspection. According to Jesse they were also left out in the rain so they were now rusty and after more words this morning and a threat by Btit to call the police, NuTech now has an extra set of heads.
The other issue I have found with NuTech is Brit will tell me that my part is ready and when I get there it is not. This just recently happened to me with some Buick heads. 3 hours I waited for the heads to be assembled when I was told they were ready. The excuse was there was an emergency but this seems to be the norm recently. He seems to run his business as a hobby but charges standard pricing. Sorry for the venting but I am a little upset.

Jeff,

Britt is a dick and always has been. I've known him for a long time (20 years +) but finally gave up on him. When I needed machine work done last time I went to see his son James who no longer talks to Britt either. He's a great machinist and a stand up guy not like his old man.

Thanks for the heads up, Jeff. I'll pass this along to ALL my fellow service members. And, they will pass along to their friends. I guarantee you, NuTech...will be seeing a decline in business here on out...

Thanks guys for the input. Neal is Brit's son local? I remember dealing with him when they had a shop in Santee. If you have his number and address maybe you could pass it along to me.
Jeff

Jeff,

James is in El Cajon, he works from his house. His business is named Bostick Racing Engines. Here is his cell # 619-792-3885.

James from Bostick Racing engines does great work at fair prices. (Thanks for the recommendation Neal!) I had him do some block work on my GN the last time I freshened up my motor. I would not hesitate to use him again in the future.
