First of all, let me say that I have inquired about purchasing these from a couple of good fellas (not mobsters;)), & am awaiting availability & pricing. Can any of you tell me the sizes of the following & if I can get these new or not?

1) Waterpump bolts
2) Timing Cover bolts & studs
3) 2 bolts & 2 studs for upper plenum
4) 2 Throttle body to plenum nuts
5) Header studs (to the head)
6) Motor mount bolts

I know that alot of you know this stuff & would really appreciate your comments. Thanks :)

These sizes will be the thread size of the studs or nuts. You'll have to figure the lengths you need or someone else will provide that info.

water pump 1/4" USS bolts

timing cover 5/16" USS bolts or studs as needed

upper plenum 10mm

TB to plenum 10mm

header studs or bolts 3/8" USS

Motor mount bolts 7/16" USS

I don't see why you can't buy the sizes you need at some hardware store that carries a large nut and bolt assortment. Hope this helps.

You certainly did help John, & I appreciate it.:) Someone had told me a while back that all of those had been discontinued. I would just like to find out what the sizes/lengths are so I can get my motor finished.

I also think that this info, although not commonly asked here, could help someone out in the future. If someone knows where the different sizes & lengths could be found (other than your motor;)) please let me know.

The original motor mount bolts were 7/16" - 14 x 7/8" long Hex Head Cap Screws. They have a lock washer used with them as well. I believe the torque is 58 ft lbs. If you are using our poly motor mounts, we have a thicker & stronger plate, and supply new 1" long bolts to keep the same thread engagement.

There is a cool chart with torque specs listed on gnttype.org:

Hope that helps.

anyone know what size the bolts that go through tensioner and alternator are? also the ac compressor-thanks
