I have my engine apart and it had copper wire o-rings in the heads. It also had solid copper head gaskets. The o-rings are kind of small and I want to know if I can remove the rings and use regular head gaskets. Or who makes copper gaskets
Even though you do not give any details on your build or expected performance level, we have eliminated o-rings on some heads and used regular gaskets that worked ok.
The build is stock crank with ARP hardware forged pistons,ported heads and intake. I haven't been able to find the exact turbo that I have but it is pretty big, The casting marks have been polished off. but it has a .82 ar on exhaust and a 3200sh converter
