I agree with bison, the green o rings are usually a fluoroelastomer material and not made for contact with fuel. I bought a bunch (i think they came 5 in a pack) of oem brown ones from gbody parts a few years ago when you could place an order from them and actually receive the parts.
For lube, if you go on amazon theres companies that sell synthetic o ring and seal grease for motorcycles (race tech and pro circuit are the comapnies ive used) they use it when doing fork seal replacements and it comes in a handy little jar. I put that sh!t on everything!
