Full throttle states the denso 1 wire o2 is more lead tolarant than a heated o2 sensor. Is this true? I was always under the assumtion that the heated o2's were the way to go. I also heard that denso's are lazy.

If I am ganna be running race fuel should I get a heated o2 or will this denso be fine?

Thanks for all feedback :) :)

denso is still pretty tolerant, both are good choices, with heated being better they're still both pretty decent

I heard denso's are lazy. Should i run a denso with leaded and a bosch with unleaded. If heated is better why does fullthrottle say the denso one wire is more tolarant? Seems like one of those, they will say anything to get you to buy it deals.

I have not had good results with the Denso. I had to replace it in under 500 miles running 110 leaded.

I think idling for 6 hours at the Woodward Dream Cruise might have made things worse but still, I had hoped to go longer.....

I have another Denso in there now and it is fine. The o2 cross counts are similar to the original o2 that came in the car (that I still have) so I don't know about their being lazy.

I think for the price of the Denso (16.00 or so) it would depend on how much you drive the car as to whether it is worth it to replace one or two a year.

Well a friend of mine replaced his, Don't know what kind they are, 3 times in 5 months, To me it make no since to run leaded at that cost

I think if my car were a stip car only it would be fine due to the low miles. For a street cruiser.....leaded and the pain with o2 is not worth it to me.

I did it more for the leaded gas smell :-)

O2 Sensor

I Had Some Of The Same Q's. I Would Like To Swap Mine Just For Basic Spring Tune-up. I Was Considering The Denso. Can Any One Make A Better Suggestion. Running Pump With Razor Kit (straight Methenol) 23lbs Boost. Thanx Jason

I'm running a Denso and have not had any problems. It's only been a few thousand miles and 2 tanks of 112 but so far it's fine.

There should be no reason to run leaded gas on the street, or strip if your combo doesn't require it. Some of us have to, but if I didn't need it, there would be no way I'd run the stuff on the street. You just throw away HP and money! Brian
