O2 sims?

Just thinking about our LS1 friends and the use of O2 sims. I am curious if anyone has used these on the Buicks. With the Thrasher chips we can disconnect the O2 and used the "memory" or stored A/F feedback values. I guess I was just thinking that this could work for people who want to run C16 without the ME and wasting O2's. Any thoughts?

Run your normal chip, and *learn in* the ecm.
Then install a chip with the closed loop coolant temp enable set to 254. Remove O2.
As long as you don't clear the ecms memory your OK.
I wouldn't suggest this as a long term deal, as corrections vary from tank of gas to tank of gas.
