I know gbody parts and kirbans have body cushion kits. I'm just trying my luck here. I need oem cushions. Here is the part number that I need #457915, need two of them. There is a picture of them in post #9. Thanks!!!
Which ones are those? What number placement. I have a complete set, but don't need them all as I had the rear section of the car done a couple years ago. I have to do all the fronts now
If you really want original OEM GM body cushions, go to your friendly GM dealer and have him do a search for the part numbers you're looking for. I did this a couple of years ago and was successful in locating the ones that I was after.
The results of the search now might yield sparse results as these have long been discontinued and what you'd find will be old stock.
By the way, the reproduction rubber body cushions that are offered today have the GM part numbers stamped into them. It would seem to me that the factory tooling is still being used by whoever is now manufacturing these. I ended up going this route & only changed a few cushions so the part numbers matched up with what the factory put in these cars years ago.
Am very pleased with the final results of the installation of these rubber body bushings (cushions).
Rides like a new car now!
I'm sure you need these earlier than March, but that's when I'm having the bushings done. I'll have at least a couple of what you're looking for available. Although, as stated, it seems gm would be the way to go for singles if you need them now
I have a 4 bushing Kirban lower kit also. I believe mine has two different numbers -according to the instruction sheet one pair is 1" and the other is 3/4" - you have me curious now. I will dig them out to take a look. I remember two of them being pink and the other two black.
