I may have asked this before but can't find the post.

I am trying to decide on adding a street kit to my virtually brand new sitting in the garage Yamaha TTR-125L 4stroke.

Has anyone ever added a street kit to an off road cycle? Is it worth it?
The kits run 400 to 500 range.

Any issues?

My concerns are
A) how would I lock the bike?
B) How fast can the bike go if I get on a 50mph road & will it vibrate from tires?

I do realize highway will be out of the question. so I will be limited to around town usage. or should I sell & look for a true dual purpose dirt/street bike?

Sell it and put the money towards a new car. You're too old to be messing around with off road stuff. Your old bones will break then you can't do Ebay.

Don't know if this helps but, I have a 2008 Yamaha WR250X. It's a 4-stroke Supermoto dirt bike with street tires - not knobbies, grooved steet tires. It is FUN to ride. It feels like I'm doing something illegal by riding it on the road! I bought a set of rims and tires for dirt riding that I've never gotten around to putting on the bike. It's never even been through a puddle, ha! I get more looks when I'm out on this bike. Kids love it! When I pull up beside a car with a small kid they light up with their faces stuck to the window.

Your questions:
A- you'll love it!
B- may get a slight vibration but not enough to be a problem
C- you'll love it!:D

Well selling it is an option but the cheapskates in this economy want to beat you down.

I have driven it on the street illegally to get it home from the trails near my house. It doesn't seem bad with the tires.. I just want to do errands like atm, lunch.

I don't think i would get to sore on the street. It is true after a few hours of off road riding the wrists, neck & back hurt a bit.
