Haven't really followed wrestling in a long while, but I remember watching him back when he was in the WCW... Is it just me or do the Canadian born wrestlers have really bad luck?? First Owen Heart, then his brother-in-law the British Bulldog, and now Chris who was also associated with the Heart family and trained with them if I'm not mistaken...

This is even more of a tragedy considering his wife and child are also dead

Strange indeed. I haven't followed wrestling for a few years but saw him wrestle a lot in WCW.

So from what I gather he called in on Sunday and said he couldn't make it to the show because his wife and kid were ill (rumored to be coughing up blood), and now he ends up dead. People are guessing it could be CO2 poisoning but I'd think he'd be smart enough to get out of the house if they were really coughing up blood. Other people are thinking murder since the authorities made the strange comment "they weren't shot to death".

It's definitely a disturbing thought and something I also can not understand.. I tell ya the news lately has been very depressing as it seems like there is a lot of these murder/suicides involving parents killing their kids and then you hear about stuff like this guy that killed his pregnant girlfriend in Ohio... Think I'm gonna take a break from watching the news for a while.

Been confirmed that Benoit did it himself. They say the "instruments of death" have been located in the house, but still won't say exactly what was used. They say he killed his family over the weekend, possibly did one more WWE show, then that's when he said he had a family emergency, went back home, and killed himself Monday.

I always hate situations like this because now we'll never know why.

The dangerous side effects of steroids abuse. They're know to cause hallucinations, paranoia & exacerbate violent behavior. Sad indeed. God bless the innocent lost souls.

sick f@cking baster'd , smothering his only child !! i know this may not go well with some of you but, as a father of 2 boys , MAY THAT FOCKER BURN IN HELL, it is heart breaking just thinking about it, a little 7 yr old trying to fight off his own dad,:frown: :frown: i could not even phantom the idea, yes he was on steroids and all that but that's no excuse to me, THERE IS NO JUSTIFICATION. , IF HE HAD PROBLEM you work them out, he had alot of friends, fock him!

Sorry had to vent i have a hard time seeing people ( and i am not pointing anyone out from here, but the media ) feel bad for a MURDER, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT'S HIS OWN SON. i don't get it i'm sure no one here would ever do that or allow that to happen to a child. GOD BLESS HIS SON AND WIFE.

I totally agree ! No steroids nor drugs or anything is an excuse for this.
