Oil capacity question

I just changed the oil (10W30(Dino oil) and used the I extended length filter Napa (1036) in my car. 5qts with ZDDP additive seems to top things off but I have heard some members using 6qts. Am I missing something?

They may have had and external oil cooler installed.

You would need extra oil for the cooler and additional lines.

Probably not a whole quart but at least half a quart.

Stock except for the larger (longer) filter.

I just dump in the five quarts and call it good. It gets up the stick pretty far.
