Do you think it's to allow for an extended oil change interval, or because the engine contaminates the oil quicker?? 6 qts filled it up right to the full mark. By the way the recommended oil weight is 5-30. Bob

Click to expand... You ain't kidding,my 06 F150 w/ 5.4 liter engine takes 7 qts.
