if oil collects on the back floor of my lower manifold, right under the coil pack, is it safe to assume my plenum gasket is leaking oil? what about the PCV valve?

Change the PCV grommet. Mine did that until I changed the grommet.

You guys have the part # for the grommet? What's the easiest way to change without removing intake?

If I had my books with my receipts here I'd give you the number, but I don't have them. I'm sure someone will have it for you here.
As far as replacing the grommet goes, I just pried the old one out with a screwdriver. It was not really brittle at all so it came out all in one piece. When I went to put the new one in I took the nutdriver from my 1/4 inch socket set, put an extension on, and then used the blunt end of it (where the socket would go on) in order to push the grommet into place and work it all out. You do have to be very careful, but with some time and a lot of patience it can be done. A lot easier than having to take anything apart, that's for sure.
