IS oil in the wastegate hoses a bad thing. I am having boost problems and I found that the orifice on the lines was the small orifice. Also found oil weeping from the wastegate actuator itself. This does not seem good. Any thouhts. Thanks

I recently had a problem on my car where the boost would undulate back and forth between 15-20 psi in third gear when I had it set to 20 psi. Pulled the turbo to check the puck (and do a little porting and polishing  ) and it was fine. Checked the DS header...fine. Noticed my wastegate solenoid's foamy (yes I still had it) was oily, and observed oil dripping out of my hoses when I pulled the turbo. So I replaced the solenoid and the hoses and it seemed fixed during the short blast I took before putting it up on stands for more mods. Oil in the actuator would definitely not be a good thing. I suppose though that the proof is in the pudding so to speak...how is your car's boost control? All the parts are cheap from the dealership except the actuator. Someone is selling an adjustable one in the Parts for Sale forum if you need a replacement. Good luck.

oil in wastegate hoses

I guess what I really want to know is where the oil is comming from. Is the turbo leaking. I have found oil in other vacum hoses. The engine was picked up used so I dont have a good history. This is what I do know engine is rebuilt but I dont know internals, 009s,93chip for the 009s adj.reg thdp, 2.5 hooker, ram air, stock turbo. car will run 105-106 mph. in the quarter but et is all over becuase of boost problem.

Seems like your turbo is leaking. I had the same problem in my car had oil in the wastegate hoses. It is not a good thing because oil will soften the hoses and they will blow off and overboost.
