Tonight I adjusted my cam sensor. After putting all of the wire connectors back togeher I lost power to my fuel pump. I pulled the oil pressure sensor off. By accident the off-white wire and the brown wire with a black tracer touched. Then my fuel pump started to run. What wires do what. I have a brown, brown with a black tracer, and a off-white wire. Would a bad sensor cause the car not to start. We tryed to "taping" these together to get it to see if it would run. But it still did not run.

when you connect the pink/black wire to the gray wire at the pressure sending unit, you effectively by pass the relay and apply power from the fuse straight to the pump.

This is the purpose of the pressure sender, at about 4# of oil pressure, the switch closes and routes power straight to the pump. That way, even if the fuel pump relay goes out, the car will keep running.
