My car once had a light i switched to a gauge but the sending unit in the car is for a light i plan on buying a oil pressure switch for a gauge from autozone but the switch for the gauge only has 1 terminal ...where my factory oil pressure switch plug is a two prong...im guessing i would have to splice one of the wires and run it to the new oil pressure switch...anyone know which wire?

The tan wire at the connector is the correct one for your oil pressure light. The other is the fuel pump relay bypass wire. That's a good thing to retain, as it will allow your car to run if the relay happens to fail.

When I added a gauge to my 'T', I made a brass 'Y' adapter/manifold that allowed me to retain both sending units. There's probably something available at a plumbing, or auto supply store.

well can i just hook the 1 tran wire to the switch then the other 2 wires from the plug one them to something that is hot when i turn my iginition on?

anyone???? can i tie the light blue and tan together and run that too the switch..then the light blue to the choke heater..what would i do with the brown...

Heres a pic of the plug the one on the right side goes to the side of the carb...someone mention to tie the tan wire to the terminal on the new switch but that would leave the brown wire on the left not used

so can i just hook up the tan wire and the wire going to the carb to the switch and call it a day....
