The 3 plugs that go to it do it matter what wire goes to what plug ? I didn't plug then in so I guessing that's why the fuel pump is not coming on

The fuel pump should come one when the ECM triggers the fuel pump relay. The oil pressure sending switch is a backup method.

And, yes, it does matter what wire goes where. If you do a search under my name I posted the pinout a couple months ago.

Ok I'll look that's crazy cuz it don't have any markings on the sending unit so I fig they all be the same

Ya I gave a after Market gauge on my to so mine is straight up it's like how do you know what wire goes where if you turn the unit to tighten it up Lol

I just put my GN back to stock and had to figure out the wires. Caspers oil pressure pigtail took the guess work out of the equation. Soldered the ends together applied heat to the heat shrink and plugged it in. Great purchase.

Looks like a headlight plug. I had the original on mi e fall apart and blow the FP fuse. I taped it up and put a gauge in.

You don't have to run it. You'll just lose the idiot light and the back up fueling if your fuel pump circuit fails.

I've had more oil sending units cause more problems than fuel system wiring on gm vehicles.

And just what is dumb about this post? If you omit that switch you WILL lose the use of the idiot light and the fuel pump relay circuit WILL have to be 100% responsible for keeping the fuel pump running.

I'm starting to dislike this judging process thing with the icons at the bottoms of the posts, earl. It's like getting negative feedback from a zero feedback ebayer.

Forget the relays and switches! I say run a household breaker as a switch for the fueling! Alternator...to fuse...to breaker....to pump.

I know that is what you are thinking,earl.. --->

Stupid question, but where is this on the motor. I have an oil pressure gauge and have an ideal that the sending unit is where this switch use to be. Am I correct? Does this mean I dont have a working oil light?
