Got chips for 94 and 91 octane on the way, but we only use 93 octane, will this damage the engine any? What alternatives do I have?

No damage unless you run to high of boost.
I would assume the difference in the chips would be timing.
With the 94 you will probably be able to run less boost than the 91 but you will have more timing.
Example 91 you might run 17psi boost with 93 octane
with 94 you might only be able to run 15psi.
Some cars run better with more timing and less boost and others the opposite.

Got scanmaster

Got scanmaster, knock gauge really necessary though?
Thanks

No IMO scan-master reads knock. I leave my scan-master on 02'S and Knock those are the more important readings to be watching all the time. TPS, BLM'S and all the other stuff i scroll through them here and there to make sure my base numbers are in line.

It will be trial and error, with a 94 chip i would start at 15-17PSI and watch for knock on scan-master, if none crank the boost up slowly while increasing fuel pressure ever so slightly. You can continue to raise boost as long as you do not see knock. Some people say a little knock is okay. I run 25PSI on C16 and see 0 Knock and could go to 26-28PSI with 0 Knock if i really wanted to push it.

I say tune for 0 Knock..

i got one, and i like it cause i think you see it a hell of a lot quicker than the scanmaster. i got mine mounted on the pilar or what ever the hell you call it. also, the knock gauge will show it to you quicker cause its direct to the computer(in my opinion):D
