The car has been sitting about a year (lost all gears). I will be removing the converter this weekend to be cut and cleaned and will be having the trans rebuilt. I would like to prime the oil pump prior to delivering the car.
Besides the usual procedure to prime, would it be ok to run the car without the converter? I am going to reconnect the trans (minus converter) so the engine is supported while trailoring the car. Would like to be sure the oil pump is primed as I wont be around when it is started up.
