Went to the track yesterday with all my new go fast goodies for the Maiden voyage. Everyone said I'd break the trann sooner or later, but I thought it would at least last for the first trip.

Anyway, the trans had not been having any issues what so ever. On my 5th pass, right before the 2-3 shift, something broke and the car just nosed over. No fluid loss. Now the only gear that works is PARK. Every gear acts like it's in neutral.

What could it be? Input shaft or something. I had just installed a new 9x11 converter. Could this break ruin the converter?

Any input would be great.

TIA

Well....

Sounds like Forward drum or input shaft. Only other thing you could ck real quick is see if you have any mainline pressure. You may have taken out the pump.

Keep us informed. If you need help, just email call or post.

Thanks for the reply Bruce. I checked the fluid with the car off and cold. Then cranked and immediately checked and the fluid level dropped. Don't know if that means anything.

I'll take it out tomorrow and inspect the shaft.

THanks again.

Bruce,

What version of your tranny would you recommend? My setup is stock long block, TE61, 3"THDP, MSD 50's, alky, and 3200 9x11 converter.

Also, does Paul at Southeast Turbo still sell for you? Do they build the tranny's with your parts or do you build and ship to them? I ask cause I'm less than an hour from them.

I got the tranny out and nothing appears to be wrong to my untrained eyes. The shafts don't move excessively or anything.

Thanks again
