If any one is familiar with the older style electric FP gauges from Autometer with the black boxes, I need a little help.
I just dug this gauge out from my trunk and may install it. I have one problem I need answered. When attaching the wire for "wire shield" to the black box, which wire is it. I have one that looks like it's coming from the outer sheath, but after I peeled it (the sheath) back some, I found a green wire in there. There is no indication on the black box of color for the "wire shield" so I'm not sure which one to use. Is the green wire even needed or is THAT the wire shield?
