? on the 200r4 transmission

I have a chance to buy an 84 200r4 to have as a candidate for a future rebuild.

Can anyone tell me is there ANY INTERNAL difference between an 84 Buick GN 200R4 Trans & an 87 Buick GN 200R4 trans.

if I remember correctly the GN's came with special valve body.

Thanks - Would there be any code numbers that I could check to make sure it is the real deal? or be sure it is an 84

Look at the code on the ID tag a code BQ would be an 84 85 GN T type trans and BRF will be an 86 87. As far as I know these are the only codes used in the turbo cars.
