Now you have me thinking....I can just remove the floor board under the driver foot well and roll like a Flintsone. Just drag my sneakers when I need to stop.

Do the same on the passenger side and cary a passenger as my E-brake.

I drove my Lightning this time

Up until coupla days I was in the market for another vehicle & fell in luv wit a Lightening I saw. Was really looking for a SUV that could tow, not a PU, but that Lightening got me re-considering. The luv passed & now just a fond memory, & now married to a Cayenne, not as sexy as a Lightening but will do. That's an awfully long ways to go in a PU, that thing comfortable nuf?
Wishin ya a good trip back, & no tickets, flats, near-misses, etc.

Ray, I can't praise these lightnings enough. I have owned three & no problems with any of them. They have everything H. Duty & can take a punishment. Only draw back is 10 -17 MPG if that doesn't matter than go for it. just pay the price &. find one with low miles

LOL That's an awesome pic Tim. You and all your kills hahahaha!

Kills?

The white car on the left looks like one of those twin turbo Porsches that spanked Tim a while back.

Mike B.

If you're talking about the white Turbo Cayman that took a running start at me and then couldn't shake me from his bumper once I got into it...I'd hardly call it a spanking...but it was a slap on the wrist...

If I see him again....he's not getting a running start.
I'll CrrrrRRRRUSH IT!!!!

Hay Chicken, I have a little stock NA 6-banger that'll pull ya along in it's draft. I prefer American iron, but some of those imports are pretty quick, great on mileage, & don't break down (often). Some of these boys up here have wicked toys, c'on up.

That's low-rider territory.
I lived in Pleasant Hill and cruised Walnut Creek & Concord when they had real hot rods up there. A long time ago. You probably weren't around then.

If I ever run out of action down here...maybe I'll make the dirve.:D

So far I feel like the hottest chicken in the hen house...seems like everyone wants my eggs.

Vacations are great, when we get them.
I just got back from a 3200 mile road trip to Glacier Park, MT. Best part was the drive around the south end in a light snowfall. Just beautiful.
Great roads up there. 80mph speed limits 10 miles of straight road. On the way up only saw cops at two accidents we passed. On the way back saw EIGHT. I must have been just under the radar as I thought I'd get popped twice. The 2 in CA were issuing tax demands to others.
The GTA got about 20mpg cruising mostly at 80-85. And gas is $2.80 - $3.00 a gal.

Lou, the FNG that called you yesterday cause he missed this thread would like to schedule some shop time on Friday if you're rested enough from your journey...

Gary, not sure what time-period speakin' of, but must've been cool being a teen or 20's in the 50's & early 60's, if the movies hold any truth. Not really a lot of low-riders, but a lot of traditional hot-rods. By far most not as quick (or comfortable) as later muscle cars but done very nice with lots $$ by older guys. I regularly drive an 11 sec muscle car & know of 2 street 10 sec cars (an old GTO & a new Stang). Chicken can c'on up here anytime & get a feather dusting (although I think I'd really like his GN, I'm afraid to go that far due to value loss and smog check). Wish I had Lou's $$ & knowledge, then I'd not have car (I almost wrote "performance", but that would probably be taken wrong!) worries.
