I am new to the Speed Pro world but I have been trying to get up to speed reading the posts. I have a DIS4 setup and I tried to read the timing with a light that can be adjusted to get the actual timing. My reading was 39 degrees and that corresponded with the Speed pro at idle. I thought that the reading on the adjustable timing light needed to be divided in half to get the actual timing. By the way I also use a BHJ balancer. Does the MSD have an effect on the timing readout?
Thanks,
Jeff

After the talk last week here about the adjustable lights and how they react to the waste spark system I put a chalk mark on the 30 degree mark on my BHJ balancer and change the FAST setting at idle to 30 degrees BTDC. I found mine was out by 4 degrees. So I changed my crank reference mark to 6 degrees and now it matches.

Chris, what you have done with sounds reasonable, I will give it a try.
Thanks,
Jeff
