I finally put on a boost guage :) and I had the boost set moderatly at 10psi. So I figured to up the wick. I had the scan tool on checking for knock, and adjusted the rod a couple of turns. Ok, 12 psi. So far so good. Next I turned it again. 13psi. Again, 13psi, again 13psi, etc. If it matters I have tapped into the vac. line for the fuel regulator, before it goes into hard line. Right behind the turbo. What's the deal.

maybe its a bad boost gauge or a kink in the tubing or something? where did you hook the gauge up to?

Well, I put it into the line that goes to the fuel pressure regulator. The funny thing is that I don't think the guage is faulty, because No matter how much I turn the rod I don't get any more knock.

I can't comment on whether or not that is a good place to put the gauge b/c i dont know....but i have mine tapped into the intake and think that is the best place to do it. Check the front of your intake, there should be a hole there.

and if your not getting any knock then your in good shape! thats my biggest problem. May need to double check you knock sensor too...may be broke, you should get some knock

Ok, here's the deal. Maybe I should elaborate a little more on my situation. I seem to have a seal leaking in turbo. I'm getting a little knock (2* about) even with low boost levels. When I upped it I got a max of 4* retard. No matter how much I turn the rod after that. That's what I don't get. If I adjust it all the way down, I still get 13psi, and the same anount of knock (4*). So I actually believe it's not the guage, but something else.

i had the same problem last year. I have a post on this site somewhere about it. How I ended up fixing it is get yourself a compression connector to install into the front of the intake. there should be a little plug you need to take out and its all manifold pressure in there. I had it tee'd into the fuel reg. too and it only read 12lbs of boost or so. I even tied the wastegate closed to see if it read different and took a air compressor and blew 20 psi into the boost line to make sure it registered right.
that front port will fix you right up!;)

Something sounds weird here. I know about that plug on the front of the intake (doesnt work if youve got a turbomotion V1 though  ), but if he is tapped into the MAIN vac port at the back of the intake, a little to the passenger side, he should have no problems. That is probably the #1 recommended spot to hook up to. After all, if it is suppposed to be good enough for the FPR it better be good enough for a stinkin' gauge, or youve got problems.
If the WG rod is getting tighter and more difficult to reattach when you adjust it in, then you have got to be upping the boost. Maybe the WG is faulty??
Try rerouting the bst gauge to the front just to verify (wont hurt), and check for crimps in the line also. Still though, gauge aside, if that WG rod is tightening either you should be leaning out and/or you should be feeling a lot more power, somethin'. Unless gauge is good and WG or something else is faulty.

Yeah, I know about the front spot to route it. I'm gonna try it and see what's up. But I really don't think that's the problem. If the o2 volts don't change that's something going on right there. There isn't any kinks in the line either. But, I got some experimenting to do in the next couple days. I'll update with my progress

I understand you need the fuel pressure to rise with boost. But why doesn't most hotairs register above 10psi on this line? I know, has me a little stumped too. Is your gauge hooked up on this line 6sense?
On top of our hotair motors we have a little vacuum pod on top of our throttle bodies. each port there has a certain pressure/vaccuum job. Somehow with check valves or something makes them do what they need to do. I believe I tried teeing in up here too, but didn't work.
Hook the boost line in that front port and watch your boost gauge come alive;)

Hooking up the boost guage to the vacuum block on the hotair setup wont work becuse nothing up there recieves any boost. But what was said is right. The boost guage should work on either one of those ports, because the t at the back of the intake is what the stock boost guage and the fpr uses to get its boost readings. I had that problem before i put my V2 intake on, and it turned out to be a bad wastegate. I couldn't get anything over 9 psi if i remember correct....
