Opinions, buying car thru auto broker

Hey all,

Wondering if anyone has any experience purchasing a car thru an auto broker? I've got a co-worker whos going thru this now, and it sure seems like a strange deal. Buying a car without having seen it. I don't know that I could do it that way.

Please share any thoughts/experiences.

I have done it twice and will probably buy another one soon. If you have time to wait, it's worth the savings...First one I bought was a 1999 Chevy suburban 1500. LT, Leather, power heated bucket seats. I got it for $5k less than any other local dealer could. The second was a 200 Tahoe. Right when they came out the dealers told me what the sticker is you pay. Well I saved $3k.....
Now I will be looking again so I'll call up the broker I used and go from there. I also had the option of driving the trucks off the GM mfg plant.....
