Orange Wire ?

Will disconecting the orange wire under the hood on my 84 T-Type close to the battery prevent the car from starting ? I know that you reset you computer but if you leave it unplug the car is supose to or not supose to start. Thanks.

No start with it unplugged.

The orange wire powers the ECM. So theres NO way the car will start with that disconnected. Try starting with it unplugged. You will notice that the SES (Service Engine Soon) ligt is not even lit. Therefore, no power to the ecm.
