I can't help you with what happened to that thread or the discount with Oreilly auto parts.

What i can do is give you a number for a 5% discount with RockAuto.com that is good until the end of November.

I got this from a Ford website but it's supposed to be good for anything they sell.

When you place an order with them you will see a question asking how you heard about them just put this number in the block" BF4766364F52 " that's all you have to do to receive the discount.

I placed an order last week and received the 5% discount so i know it does work.

I didn't try to find the thread but if it were indeed deleted by admin, I imagine a vendor complained. Many of the vendors sell parts that we could have gotten cheaper with that discount, costing them sales.

Probably isnt going to happen guys. No way to possibly regulate the account to strictly members. We dont want to cause any problems. Sorry guys, I tried really hard. Wish there was a way to help us and give them the business.:(

Jdpolzin, I wonder if there is a way to make to where the account could prevent sales discounts outside of turbo Buicks. Just curious, thanks.

In addition, as far as sales go to our supporting venders they hold the market on probably 70% of our market if not more. However, I do not think any of the supporting venders would be too concerned with us being able to get our cars running within a few hours instead of having to wait on shipping. Not to mention one of our venders wanted over $600 for a new power master. I went and bought one from O’Reilly’s and was out the door tax included w/ lifetime warranty for $406.

Just curious, but how long ago did you purchase the new powermaster with lifetime warranty from O'reillys for $ 406 including tax?

Yea Gary I purchased PM on 11/08/08 and the price was $379.99 after tax was $414.19 with core, part #52-9702. I'm curious myself to see if price has changed, I'll check tomorrow and let you know if your interested.

No, but thanks for the reply. I was only questioning because new GM or even NOS powermasters have not been available for several years now, and were selling for about $1200 when they were last available. You probably have a rebuilt "Cardone" unit, and I am not too sure even those are available anymore. Last I heard, even the rebuilt ones were going for about $ 600 or so, and no longer any lifetime warranties. There aren't even anymore GM new or NOS powermaster brake switches or accumulator bowls left other than in the hands of private parties that I know of.

Those can't be new manufacture but even being a new rebuilt, that's a great deal.

I'm good to go as I have a brand new manufactured unit that I purchased about 4 or 5 years ago from Kirban's. Last unit he had. I also have a few brand new accumulator bowls and brake switches that I purchased for a rainy day a few years back. I've only got 26K miles on my car so my original should last for quite a few years. Many thanks for the offer though, appreciate it.

The Oreilly's discount is ready. The way it works is a progressive discount. The more that gets bought under this name the greater the discount is.

What you have to do is go to your local store and tell them to load "Turbobuicks garage" into their system. Once that's done, that store is set up for the discount. With all of us working on it nationwide it shouldn't take long to max out the discount.

Thanks a million Earl, great work!!! I shall try it out one day this week and I'll post comments. Thanks again

90% of the "oh really" employees in my area are stupid and to add to it don't even know there ever was a turbocharged buick. How does "turbobuicks garage" get loaded? I'm sure I'll have to tell them how to do it:rolleyes:

Just tell them to load commercial account #146667 into their computers. They only have to do it once.
The corporate office screwed it up (go figure) and made it a "dealers discount". I had an email sent to change it to a "progressive discount". It should be working correctly tomorrow morning.

so when we use it we just tell them to put it under the turbobuicks garage discount?

Yep. It's a commercial account just like shops have. The more money the "shop" spends with them the greater the discount. Since I spread this out nationwide, the discount should get peaked pretty quickly.
