The reply through out the years has always been that the risk of getting stuck in a fire on the bus out weighed the danger of a collision.... never understood that myself....

That is bull**** I am sure it just comes down to the mighty ole dollar and what it would cost. It is just BS, They are just kids and having kids myself just thinking about it and seeing that pisses me off.

If they did have seatbelts, how many kids do you think would actually use them?

Some newer school buses do have seatbelts now. It's just a matter of making the kids use them. They are optional as far as I know in my school district.
