Overboosting and need help tuning

Hi I am getting bad knock. The max boost that is supposed to be from the Casper Ultrachip is 16.2. However when I floored it today I seen the boost shoot up to roughly 17-18.5. I think that may be why I have a knock problem. However I never tuned the boost myself before so I don't quite understand how to tune this. I have both the Adj. Wastegate and the RJC boost controller. Do they both work together or does one override the other? If I need to adjust the rod how do I adjust it do drop a couple psi? Do I need to take anything off to access the area I need to adjust? Thanks in advance.

If your not running alky or race gas thats prolly too much boost.The RJC controller over rides the adj wastegate setup. Take off the hose and turn the knob back a few turns,that should lower your boost. How much knock you getting and where does it happen(1-2 shift) ?

Silly ? but I should turn it a few times to the left correct? I run on street Mobil Super+ 93 octane gas. Not sure what shift it happens. Just pretty much happens a sec or 2 after pushing the pedal past 1/2way.

On the end that has the 90 degree fitting,turn that (threaded)knob out(loosen it), better make it 3 full turns to make sure everything is ok, then you could turn it back up slowly watching for knock after when you get control of your boost.
