Wondering how i car reset the PAC settings to the way they came from alkycontrol. I bought the kit new/used about a year ago. It was used in the sense someone had it before me but was never installed just opened and looked at. Anyway i was just checking out the pack settings and neither of them are at 12 o clock. Im experiencing some knock and wondering if these knobs are set wrong.

Think i found it. 10 and 12, turn on and initial. Unfortunately im getting knock. Gain on 7 1/2, fuel in the chip upped +5%.. about 17/18lbs of boost. Mods are in the signature, with the exception of running a double pumper now.

Could very well be rich knock.. like your flooding it.

A TE44 should never need a double pumper. I would pull the fuse on the second pump.

What/whose chip?
Does it run 13-15 PSI knock free without alcohol?
What are O2 numbers when the knock occurs?
Sure its not false knock?
LED change from red to green? If so at what PSI?
Drop your Gain down to like 5 for lower boost. 7 is more for mid 20's.

Questions answered in order.
Erics Alky chip
Never had it that low, never had a big problem just needed little adjustments.
In the 800's
No Knock comes gradually
Yes didnt pay attention to when exactly

Here is a PL file

I also have a post going in the general tech section. Check it out.

This lets you know that the alcohol is working. When the LED changes to green it means you have at least 50 PSI of alcohol pressure. 50 PSI should support 18-20 PSI boost no problem.

If its going red-green.. then its not alcohol related.

I dont think its alky related. It definatly goes red to green and stays green till i let off. Originally I just wanted to make sure the pac settings were correct being i bought the kit used/new.. Well once the rain stops here ill have some time to check and make sure the pumps are doing there job. BTW i used the yellow HEET for the go juice. Dont know if that tells you anything different, Through research on this forum iv read its fine. Scared the crap out of me :eek:when i saw those white plugs ill tell you that!

Looking at the log, your TPS only goes to 3.79. Whats up with that?

You should not be doing these types of tests while the transmission is having to shift. Do all testing in D above 60 MPH. Not OD but D and dont let it down shift. TPS at 3.79 means its not fully extending the TV cable=lower tranny pressure=slipping tranny=knock=post on TB.com :D

O2 looks fine, MAF looks fine. Knock did go up when timing hit 22 degree's.. but dont know if its related or not.

Watch the LED change.. it will tell you if it has alcohol or not.

Your plug color typically comes from the 99% of the driving you do. Idle, cruising, decel, etc. If they are white, then look at issues with you BL numbers.

If you want to read plugs.. install plugs at race track.. make a pass.. shut the engine off.. then look at plugs.

Considering it has alcohol.. even if the fuel pressure was lower.. it probably would be making up for it especially at lower boost.

lastly.. go get some methanol.. your chasing a problem and now the fluid your using could be in question. You need to eliminate variables.

Gotcha will head to pick up some straight meth tomorrow morning. Provided i get up in time:o.. I work 12:30 to 9, so i like to sleep late!
