Well that sucks, I'm going to get a switch pitch built 400 from Chris at ckperformance when I get back and I remembered that PAE had a way of getting the converter to stall and unstall via timer wired into the brake switch and was just wondering what it was.

So does anyone know how much horse power these things can take?

There's tons of info on the variable pitch/ switch pitch on V8 Buick.com
Do a search there. I think Jim Burek from PAE was/is a member there too? I no longer frequent that site after I sold my GS last year. It also had a PAE S/P and I really enjoyed that feature!

The switch pitch 11" converter can give approximately 2000 stall open,2400 activated and 2800 to 3000 on the transbrake. The setup works good for low 11 to hi 10 second cars. The thing is the converters dont live forever with the brake but the performance is insane with the right combination.I have use it with the te 44 and 49 turbos with high boost and tye the hi stall switch into the transbrake.I have updated versions of the converter in the shop. These were developed in conjunction with Joe from PRO TORQUE in Bohemia NY.

Chris,
Do you think I should go switch pitch or just a regular converter in your expert opinion
