Anyone paint for a living or painted their car in their own garage?

I was just trying to prime my gbody parts bumper fillers and it's a pain to do them off the car, but yet you need to use adhesion promoter so can it be done on the car?

I'm a noon at painting my car but I'm in the process of it. Car is almost all primed in epoxy, just need to do 2 more bumper fillers and the mirrors....

I hung two of the bumper fillers and it's tough to paint them hanging from chains, they want to blow around.

What do people do?

I just don't want anything to peel off the car anytime soon!

Tape a block of wood to a jack stand then put a screw through filler mounting hole into wood block. I have stands at work I mount things like that to paint.

Painting them on the car can/will result in adhesion problems at the seams. Do it right, paint them individually.
