About 45 minutes. Then it has to air cool. It won't be good and hard for a week so no fingernails or fingerprints or birdcrap allowed. Keep it indoors uncovered. Dust won't hurt, just don't dry wipe it or get it wet either (waterspots). Also no buff for a week. You can technically do it sooner but why not wait and do it the right way?

cool thanks alot john, i did'nt know, i would have definetly screwed things up:eek: thanks again

We'll, after it comes out of the paint booth and its ready to sand, get some 1200 grit sand paper and DRY sand it, yes I said DRY. I just got done doing that to mine if you can remember no-nos. Buff after you sand. :)

Your right i do remember, your's looked great thanks for the heads up v8'

Worked at a shop for 6 months, wetsanded/buffed a day after painting! NO WAX FOR A FEW MONTHS!!! dry sanding works OK, as long as there isn't much dirt in the paint, otherwise you're going to break a piece of dirt loose and without water, you're going to be moving that piece of dirt around causing alot deeper scratches than 1200 grit. I waited a month to sand/buff the GN, but I sanded/buffed an old '84 vette the day after I painted it, came out great! Just my opinion:cool:

" Keep it indoors uncovered. "

that would be great but i don't have a garage, (i wish i did) i have a drive way but uncovered, can i use a car cover? breathable of corse

thanks for the input guys, i owe ya a couple of beers:D

I'm not sure I'd cover it, if it happens to rain, dry the car immediately, post pics when it's finished!

will do :D , i'll post it on monday, i'm getting it buff'ed on tuesday is that ok or is it to early? thanks guys, i think it's going to look great:)

Depending on type of paint, I have found if you buff within a couple days the paint leaves less scratch marks.

with a paint booth, and good paint 2-3 days is enough dry time IMO.

I wouldn't worry about water after 2 days either, bird gifts are always a worry though.
