Just got new front and rear bumper strips for my GN and they have the white paint in the center. Any recommendations on what to use to remove the paint? I'd rather not paint over the white if possible.

It's not really paint but more like a vinly strip. Use a flat screw driver and just peel it out. That's how I did it.

Go to Home Depot and pick up some brush and roller cleaner in the paint aisle. Apply it with with some Q-tips and it comes off nice and easy. Be liberal with the application and let it sit for a second. It wrinkles up and you just wipe it off with the Q-tips. Won't damage the rub strip.;)

Thanks for the tips guys. Seems pretty straight forward. I'll give it a shot this weekend. :D

I just used a can of black bumper paint from the parts store. It remains flexible and is for these pliable parts. Just resprayed the strip with this aerosol paint bomb, and no more white strip! Did mine in 96, and is still fine today. No peeling, chipping, etc. Thanks, Rudy E.
