i am thinking of painting my 1983 t-type for my senior project and i would like some suggestions from u turbobuick members... throw me and suggestions... any takers? i should add that the car does have the "chrome package" or a lot of chrome trim... but i personally like the look of the X-ray buick gnx. I would like to give my car that look, but with the 1983 features so it would be carburated and have the 1983 t-type interior and tilt front nose that i would probably paint black... so please turbobuick shoot me suggestons on what color i should paint it

(or i might turn it into a lowrider:biggrin: )(just kidding or am i:tongue:  )

While a tilt nose sounds cool if you hit something you have to replace the whole thing. You might want to think about that. What color is it now? You have enough posts so you put a pic on.

Well if you look in my profile, i should have about 3 pics of the car. the dog chewed the camera cord so i cant take any pictures soon, but i might be able to upload a few from my computer. right now the car has a very old black metallic paint (that needs to be repainted or refreshed) with silver trim ie. bumpers, doors, lights, hood ect. I like the look of the later model ie 1984 and later t-type tailights that are slightly tinted and the spoiler that i will add to my car. as for the tilt nose its pretty hard to find replacements for. i found a grill but i thought that it was the wrong one so i didnt buy it (kinda feel stupid:rolleyes: )

I hope pics are here

uuuhhhh kinda need help on posting pics on posts?

If you're not dead set on black, I think those cars like yours look good with a charcoal top/hood/trunk lid and silverish sides....

go with the 2 tone dark/light grey that came on those cars. with the stock wheels, those cars looked hot. though, that's just my opinion.
