Paint

Looks like I will be getting some paint work done. I noticed a spot on my hood that looks like the paint was eaten away by something. The same thing was found on the passenger side fender. Great. I put a claim in with my insurance guy. We'll see what happens. This sux!!!!!!!

I never thought of using car insurance for a paint job caused by oxidation . Let us know how it goes ---

It is not oxidation. This is a 3 year old paint job. Looks like something ate thru like brake fliud. Right down to the primer. It ran down the hood about 6 inches.

A few years back I had a bird get in the garage and knock over a bottle of alky that ran down the trunk and bumper. Insurance took care of it like nothing but that was having an animal involved thou....Good Luck.
