Painting door locks.

Doing some repair right now, and one thing I want to correct is my door locks where 80% of the black is worn away. Any recs for proper reaint on the door locks? Prep? And changes to the finish?

you can purchase brand new ones from a couple of vendors. try GBodyParts.com or check local dealers. I picked up a complete set of the correct black bezels, spring-loaded keyhole covers and rubber gaskets for both doors and the trunk for about $10.00 from a local dealer about 3 years ago. he had tons of them at the time, wish I had stocked up

yes, exactly like what came on the car when it was new.

I checked GBodyParts and he doesn't have them listed. you might give him a call, then try Kirban. Actually, I'd check a couple of local dealers first.
