Painting interior trim

Anyone spray the plastic interior trim black? Just wondering how it would look...

i get kinky and freaky with some paint,
but IMHO like ****.
i don't like the solid black door panels either. (dave navaro had them if you can find a picture of his car).

I've sprayed all the red interior ABS plastic on my Malibu black, and it came out like fido's asz. The ABS was dried up and sun-checked so I hit it with Ting soap to degrease. I then plastic prepped it, painted it, and the paint still wears off easily. I don't know that we could do anything else with this stuff.

It helps to use

a Lacquer based paint as this actually burns into the plastic. some spray paints are not Lacquer based-look for Lacquer on the can and use Bulldog or equivalent(Adhesive Promoter)

And if you have a spray gun your local paint shop can match the existing interior pieces and give you back a pint of the exact match for your interior.

I've never seen anyone do a successful job. I don't care what anyone says, it ALWAYS wears off eventually...
