Painting the new GBODY bumper fillers??

When I dropped off the new factory material bumper fillers that gbody built at the paint shop, he said that in order to get the paint to adhere properly he would have to bake them to expel the oils. Does this make sense?

Bweavy, if you are reading this do you know if this is correct to do with your fillers? I pick them up tomorrow
so this might be too late anyway.
What do you think?

Instructions just say degrease, scuff and adhesion promote. I wouldn't heat them
 
I would'nt bake them .you're killing the rubber. All he have to do is prep them and then seal them with a primer sealer with flex .
don't let him bake them he going to dry them out and with in two year they going to strat cracking
