Hey guys, need your help here. The plastic part that has the ign cylinder and stalker, right behind the steering wheel is faded and looks like crap. I want to paint it with a grey that matchs and thats durable. The SEM paint in the can is not the right shade and doesnt hold very well from my past experience. I heard about this special expoxy type paint that you buy in a can thats extremely durable and amtchs the grey?? can someone help me here?

thanks!

Find yourself an auto paint store in the area, a good one can mix up a custom pint of SEM auto trim paint matched to your interior color if you bring in an interior peice.

thanks for the reply,I will check it out, but it isnt going to be as durable the fac one, should I put a satin clear coat over it?? to protect it against chips.

thanks

Well I painted a A pillar panel and a dash pad with SEM and it's pretty darn durable, no scratches or mars yet.

Mine's marrron but considering how interiors fade and change, pick a part that's not faded and take it down for matching, like the piece under the steering column or the glove box door.

I found a Duplicolor VS11 Charcoal Gray spray paint for Vinyl and Fabric that matches the steering column...I did a little touch up on my column and the paint matched perfect...I just looked at the Duplicolor Web Site and it looks like they changed the part number...they now have a HVP111 Charcoal Gray...I assume it's the same but might want to call them and check...
