painting we-4 trim question

Is the hood trim "the metal strip fastened onto the back of the hood", and the metal strip which runs between the hood and windshield by the windshield wipers, gloss black like the rest of the paint on the car, or a less gloss originaly from the factory?

No fasteners. I would use a piece of wood with a rag around it and hammer it off it just snaps on the metal lip of the hood. I personally would go with a satin black finish if it was my vehicle.

yea i know the hood trim just pops on. I have the hood and trim in primer now. I was just curious if the finish was satin or gloss from the factory? As well as the finish for the trim between the hood and windshield.

A friend of mine used krylon satin black on his head light bezels and his t tops it looked good. I think they all trim came in satin i really doubt they ever came in gloss finish. When I get around to that part of my build I might be anodizing them for long term durability.
